When will Festival movies be available to watch?
Starting at 12am Eastern on Thursday, April 29, our festival films will start to be available for viewing! Think of our festival as on-demand viewing.* Again in most cases, you can watch your selected film(s) any time between Thursday, April 29 through Wednesday, May 19 (11:59pm EST). You will have 48 hours to finish watching a film once you press play. Make sure you’re logged into the account you created to purchase your tickets/Pass, then click “Unlock” on the film you want to watch!
*You’ll find specific viewing details for each movie online.
How do filmmaker Q&As work?
Zoom, baby! If you buy a ticket to a single film, your ticket includes access to the live Q&A for that film if there is one scheduled. If you buy a Digital All-Access Pass, you’ll get to watch every live Q&A! Filmmaker Q&As are scheduled at specific times throughout the festival. Check out the live stream Q&A schedule, and submit your questions during the Q&A via the chat feature. They will be recorded and available for viewing all weekend.
How much is a Digital All-Access Pass?
Just $75! Your pass allows you to unlock all the films at the 2021 Indy Film Fest and is automatically linked to your account on Eventive. After you unlock a program, please note the amount of time you have to push play on that particular film (you’ll find those details connected to each movie). Please note: The Pass does NOT allow access to Special Live Screenings (Tibbs Drive In). Films are available for a limited time and with limited capacity. No refunds or exchanges. Passes are non-transferable. Event is not rated for content and viewer discretion is advised.
How much are individual movie tickets (and how do I purchase)?
Single tickets are available for $10. If you would like to purchase a $10 ticket “unlock” to an individual program, head to the virtual festival by visiting 2021.indyfilmfest.org. Purchase your ticket by selecting Unlock and then enter your email address to login or create an account on Eventive. You will then be prompted to enter your credit card information to complete the purchase. All films are available to viewers in the United States unless otherwise noted (some are available outside the U.S., too!). Film views are limited, and films can “sell out,” which will be indicated by “Sold Out.” Please note: No refunds or exchanges. Unlocks are non-transferable. Events are not rated and viewer discretion is advised.
How do I watch a livestream or live Q&A?
If you’ve ordered a program that includes an on demand title plus a livestream, simply select the livestream from the right sidebar and then click “enter livestream” at the designated time. There is a countdown clock on the livestream window to let you know when it will start.
Can I watch a livestream or Live Q&A after it is over?
Yes, livestreams are recorded and made available to ticket holders for the duration of the program availability window.
Audience Awards? How do I vote?
Your voice demands to be heard! For every film (and included in all shorts programs), there will be a ballot available within the Virtual experience you can fill out after viewing.
