Set in contemporary Glasgow, the English-language debut from director, Lone Sherfig (Italian for Beginners), Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself is a quirky comedy about two wildly different brothers whose lives are transformed when they both fall in love with the same woman.  Harbour is the perpetually sunny elder brother, who, aside from running his bookstore, is cursed with caring for his depressive younger brother, Wilbur.  When Harbour decides that a girlfriend is just what Wilbur needs to cheer him up, but decides that she’d be perfect for himself instead.  With performances that the BBC called:  “more charming than morbid, more funny than sad”, Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself is “a movie of dense, emotional intelligence, that never takes itself [too] seriously.”
