Documentary
Synopsis:
The only documentary selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at
the 2005 Cannes Film Festival, Sisters in Law is a fascinating, frequently
hilarious, look at the world of one small courthouse in Cameroon. With
fierce compassion, the tough-minded state prosecutor and court president
dispense wisdom, wisecracks, and justice in equal measure. Judge Judy
has nothing on Vera Ngassa and Beatrice Ntuba.
