“It's hard to get corporate sponsorship with a name like ‘Murderball,'” deadpans Mark Zupan, Captain of Team USA. The sport, now called “quad rugby” is a no-holds-barred, highly competitive, physically violent game. It is played in armored wheelchairs worthy of Mad Max. The players are quadriplegics. Murderball is the story of the courageous men who play this little-known sport, and is the result of a two and a half year all-access pass to the locker rooms, bedrooms, churches, hospitals, and hotels where they live and play. It is a film that will shatter every stereotype you have ever had about what it is to be handicapped. It is a film about standing up, even after your spirit--and your body--have been crushed. Most of all, Murderball is about what it's really like to be a man.

Murderball won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
