DOROTHY HENCKEL :: President 

Dorothy is the producer of the films Foil, the Indianapolis 48-Hour Film Project Jury Award Winner in 2008, and I'm not Talking to You, the Indianapolis 48-Hour Film Project Audience Award in 2009. Dorothy was in attendance at inaugural IIFF in 2004, which is where she fell in love with film, joining the Board in 2005. Her extensive community service includes current board membership of Indy-East Assets Development Corporation, which is a 2012 Super Bowl Legacy Project partner. Dorothy was named "Person you Should Know" in 2009 by the Indianapolis Star and "Green Mover and Shaker" in 2007 by NUVO News Weekly. Upon moving to Indianapolis in 1999 she became one of the founders the local Hash House Harriers club, part of a worldwide extreme running/social club. As a scientist for over ten years she has held a number of positions with Roche Diagnostics including those in R&D, operations and quality. She holds a B.S. in chemistry from Indiana University.

KELLI MIRGEAUX :: Executive Director & Vice President

A member of the IIFF Board since 2006, Kelli worked in a variety of roles with the festival before taking on the position of Executive Director in November, 2009. Kelli is also an active volunteer in her neighborhood of Fountain Square, helping establish the Fountain Square Arts Council and serving on the Public Space and Marketing & Development committees of South East Neighborhood Development. A graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Business Management, Kelli is currently employed as an Account Executive with Williams Randall Marketing.

ALLISON HARTHCOCK :: Secretary & Volunteer/Intern Coordinator

As Associate Professor of Media Arts at Butler University, Allison teaches primarily in the areas of media literacy and media criticism. Her research includes multicultural perspectives and colorblind racism in popular film. A volunteer during the 2008 IIFF, she joined the Board later that year. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

AMANDA HAUGH :: Fundraising Director

Amanda has been a member of the IIFF Board since May of 2009. She is the Director of Development at the St. Francis Healthcare Foundation with a focus on major gifts, special events, and marketing. Since 2006, she has worked to cultivate new relationships for the foundation through her work with hospital vendors, healthcare and other corporations, physicians and medical groups. Her efforts have increased the foundation's events revenue and attendance by more than 100 percent in three years. A member of the International Special Events Society, she is working towards CSEP certification. Amanda is also on the Board of Directors for the Paramount School of Excellence Charter School located in the NESCO area and President of the Oakland Block Association.

JULIE MAHERN :: Membership Coordinator

Julie Mahern is the owner of time4drinks.com, a website dedicated to showcasing drink specials and nightlife in Indy. Julie has over 16 years of experience in sales, marketing and management, holding such positions as Director of Sales, Marketing Director and Event Planner for various organizations including Sheraton Hotels and Dave & Buster’s. Joining the IIFF Board in 2008, Julie brought much experience with her as she had served on and chaired several committees for a diverse range of organizations, including the National Apartment Association, Indiana Society of Association Executives and the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. In these roles, Julie was responsible for networking events, obtaining and retaining membership and convention planning. Julie majored in Marketing Education at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.

CRAIG MINCE :: Programming Director

Sales and marketing manager for the Indiana State Museum’s IMAX Theater for the past seven years, Craig is a founding member of the Really Big Short Film Festival which began in 2006. The festival focuses on Indiana filmmakers and actors and provides a means for them to showcase their talents to Indianapolis audiences. A member of the IIFF Board since 2008, Craig specializes in film programming and research. He received a B.S. in business from Ball State University.

LISA TRIFONE :: 2010 Programming Director / Co-Director of Marketing

Originally from the Chicago area, Lisa moved to Indianapolis in 2004 after graduating from Bradley University with a BA in Communication. As the Marketing Coordinator at Heartland Film Festival, Lisa built her expertise in digital and social media, developing one-to-one communications plans for the organization. Currently working full-time at ExactTarget, Lisa joined the IIFF Board in 2009 with a desire to combine her two loves – film and communication.

JASON ROEMER :: Marketing Director

As principal at Lodge Design, Jason has spent the last ten years of his life digging to find the essence of his clients’ brands, then developing a strategy to communicate that experience through a "brand storytelling" approach. It’s not tricky. It’s not math or science. It’s about creating an emotional hook. Since 1999, he’s been working with clients large and small, telling stories and building market share. Throughout his 14+ year career, he’s been published in magazines across the country and worked on national accounts for clients in industries ranging from speed boats to music blogs. As a newer member of the IIFF Board, Jason is looking forward to building a better festival that appeals to a wider audience. He‘s publically compared the Indy Film Fest team to the Olympic Dream Team. Enough said.

MARTIN SCHLIESSMANN :: Community Relations Coordinator

A media consultant with over 20 years experience in advertising, design, and marketing, Martin is a Marketing Designer for UnitedHealthOne/Golden Rule Insurance Company. He is also a founding partner in the video production company Escape Route Flix, LLC, and Director & Producer of the film Why Sturgis (©2005), a popular feature-length documentary showcasing the history of Sturgis, SD. Former President and Programming Director of the Indianapolis Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), Martin is a graduate of Ball State University with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. Martin joined the IIFF Board in 2009. Martin’s work with the IIFF Board includes developing community partnerships and building festival awareness through collaborative programming initiatives.

JOSH SCHULER :: At-Large Member / NUVO Relation

Since relocating from Cincinnati in 2006, Josh has served as the Director of Sales & Marketing for NUVO and joined the IIFF Board in 2009. In addition to his role at the magazine, Josh has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Voice Media Digital Network and is a member of the Advertising Committee for the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies. In 2009, Josh was interviewed by Editor & Publisher magazine as one of "10 That Get it Right" in print and digital advertising. He also volunteers at the Julian Center (United Way) as a tutor for children staying at the facility.


MICHAEL TRESSLER :: Interactive Technology Director

A graduate of Ball State with a B.A. in Computer Science, Michael joined the IIFF Board in early 2009. Over the past 15 years, he has gained a plethora of experience in all aspects of information technology. He currently works as a Systems Engineer for Open Solutions Inc., quite often crisscrossing North America on various projects. In his spare time, Michael manages a website for German-speakers in Central Indiana.
