The 2012 Bigger Picture Show

Friday, May 11, 2012

Welcome to the 2012 Bigger Picture Show — where local designers re-imagine movie “classic” posters that are showcased at a cinematic shindig inside the Service Center on the city’s west side.

This year’s Show celebrates the writerly minds who re-imagined existing plays, stories and novels as entirely new film scripts of their own. Stories with real guts, that weren’t afraid to reach out and punch us in our throats. From Percy Heath’s DR. JEKYL AND MR. HYDE to Aaron Sorkin’s MONEYBALL, this year’s films have all been nominated as a best adapted screenplay by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The evening will feature food & music, beer & wine. All the posters will be part of a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting our mission to create a shared experience around film. Presented by Lodge Design and Ratio Architects.
